Booking and timing
Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable for most local Santa Clarita moves, and four weeks is safer for anything happening at the end of the month or during summer, when the calendar fills fastest. Mid-month dates in fall or winter can often be booked with just a week's notice.
If another company let you down at the last minute, call anyway. Crews open up more often than people expect, and we will tell you honestly whether we can fit the date rather than stringing you along.
Pricing and what is included
Local moves in the valley are priced by crew size and hours, with the clock starting when the crew arrives and stopping when the last item is placed. Long-distance moves are priced by weight and distance, confirmed on a certified scale once the truck is loaded.
Blankets, straps, and basic floor protection are included in every job. Packing materials and full packing service are quoted separately so you only pay for what you actually book.
Packing questions
You can book full packing, partial packing for just the fragile rooms, or no packing at all if you would rather do it yourself. Most Santa Clarita families land somewhere in the middle, packing books and linens themselves and handing us the kitchen and the artwork.
If you are packing yourself, ask about materials. Sturdier boxes matter more here than people expect, especially for anything sitting in a hot trailer on a long-distance run.
Special items and unusual situations
Pianos, gun safes, hot tubs, and pool tables all come up regularly, and each has its own handling approach that we plan for during the estimate rather than discovering on the day. Tell us about anything unusual up front so the right equipment and crew size are booked.
We also get asked whether we can load a container someone else will drive, move a single piece of furniture across town, or help with just a storage unit run. The answer to all three is generally yes.
After the move
You get a confirmation with crew size and arrival window as soon as your date is locked in, and we call a day or two ahead to confirm details. On moving day itself, the lead calls when the truck is on the way so you are not left guessing at the window.
